Sharon Marie Franklin – age 70 of Knoxville entered her Heavenly home on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  A woman of great faith and love for her Lord, Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.   She was incredibly generous and would help someone in need even if she went without.  She was the sweetest woman, and she brightened the lives of everyone she met.  Quick witted and funny, she always made people smile.  Sharon is happy in Heaven with her momma, sister, and grandson.

Preceded in death by mother, Hazel Riddle; sister, Linda Surgeoner; and grandson, Josh Bathe.

Survived by husband, R. Duane Franklin; children, Lisa Franklin, Angela (Tony) Fisher, and Michael (Tammy) Franklin; grandchildren, Kristen (Joey), Sarah, Zachary, Henry, Harrison, Emily, Jade (John), and Caina (Taylor); great grandchildren, Huriah, Autumn, Alivea, Adam; brother, Mike (Karen) Riddle; sister, Pat (Bill) Ruzinok; sister-in-law, Judith (Don) Patrick; and many nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, September 20, 2021, at Bridges Funeral Home.  Family and friends will gather 9:45 AM on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at East TN Veteran Cemetery-John Sevier for a 10:00 AM graveside service.  Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.

With all my heart I send my condolences to all of her family. She loved, still loves you all deeply and besides the Lord Jesus, you were her life. I pray for you all and know God Himself will see you through losing her here. Shes in our future though and that is ever so comforting, Thank you Jesus for that. I treasure the vacations we took together and oh the gun memories of just being with her. I'll miss her dearly. We love you Sharon....

Duayne, I know your light is dim and flickering and you cannot understand why and how any of this makes any sense. Tell God I also feel your pain and wish I could bear it for you. Tell God Sharon always welcomed everyone with a million dollar smile. Tell God Tell God to watch for it wont be long until we will be coming too. I already told God, you dont have to.

My heart is breaking for Sharon's family. I had the pleasure working with sharon 5 years at food city. She was a blessing to me and is very dear to me. I so enjoyed working with her. She will be missed by many. I know she is rejoicing in heaven. But we are sad ,she touched us all.

I worked with Sharon for a while, she was a beautiful kind soul, she will be missed. Everyone at food city just loved her. She was always smiling and laughing. her husband and family are in my thoughts and prayers.
